Tempted to chase the car; the ambitious pooch darts for his doggy door, only to find that he's a bit too big to fit through.

This doesn't stop the dog from giving up how, though. He soon begins an intense and creative workout routine that puts him in shape over the course of a year. The next time the dog spots the new Volkswagen Beetle passing by his window, he shoots right out of the door with ease, and fulfills his dream, not of chasing the Beetle, but of running beside it proudly.

Missing the Start Wars reference from The Force? That's because it comes at the end of the ad. The camera pulls back to reveal a group of familiar aliens in the Mos Eisely Cantina watching the whole thing play out. As they begin to argue about whether the dog or the Vader kid is funnier, the real Darth Vader proceeds to use the force to choke them, in order to make up their minds for them.
